Checked the chip for the last week, still bucks with antlers. I guess it is not out of the ordinary the latest I have got pictures of full antlered bucks is March 7.
I've had bucks still carrying late into March at times. I checked my cams about a week ago, most bucks were still carrying both sides. A few had dropped one side.
Not sure why I care the dang bucks come and mooch feed all winter and don't have the decencentcy the leave a shed once in a while. I have found a total if 1 shed on my property in 20 some years. Could be the 10,000 squirrels.
My fire chief and I were just talking last night about this. His brother has a camera out and has seen 12 different bucks all with antlers still. They spent a good portion of time from October-January hunting and never seen that many bucks. PA weather is so weird this year! I have seen more road kills just this past week then I have the last six months.
I've found a few but as of this past week majority still carrying. I'm minutes east of St. Louis Mo in IL Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
These are the only sheds I've seen But then again I really haven't been on the ones looking. Hopefully this weekend or next weekend I can get out and scout, and look for some sheds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'll be shed hunting in Central WI this weekend. In NW Indiana I saw a herd of 15 or so last week; none of them had any bone showing although I'm pretty sure at least one was a mature buck. Heck, in mid April 2015 I saw a gorgeous 10+ still holding on to both sides in a Cook Co forest preserve. Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason. Does anyone know if individual bucks tend to shed his antlers at pretty much the same time annually, or does it vary from year to year due to environmental influences?
