I've got an idea on where the trespassers are coming from. I want to set up my trail cam out there just afraid of it getting stolen if there's some kids out there or someone who knows they shouldn't be finds it.
If you hear a banjo next time you're out there, I'd suggest picking up the pace and go the direction you came from.
i'd like to see it finished. put trail cameras...now!!! but if it's kids don't be to upset at them at least they outside.
Probably a tribe of Amazonian super models gone feral... Kids if your lucky, hopefully it's not going to be someone that causes you problems...a trail cam would be a good place to start. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
There's no way kids are building that "fort." With all the vertical supports braced... not many kids understand that. Meth lab is the first thing that comes to my mind. I would hang cameras up in the trees and probably do a decoy camera, as in, hang a broken or old one on the trail in plain sight and one up high in the tree covering that. See what's going on... keep us posted :D
definitely unfinished. Some of the ends look fresh cut so you can't call it abandoned yet. Check it in 2 weeks and if it has progressed then hang a camera. Be careful, sketchy people hide out in the woods.
I know we were hell on wheels on anything that could be cut down and reconstructed into a fort when we were kids and as a mater of fact our stuff was much more elaborate.. having said that, I highly doubt kids are the culprit and suspect something much more sketchy!! Why put up a decoy camera? Won't it just alert them that someone is watching? Don't go back alone and watch ur six..... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
In regards to kids not being able to do this, Have you checked out YouTube recently. That and the fact almost all of them now have smart phones. But before doing anything drastic I would definitely talk to the land owner to make sure they are aware and let them take action if needed. Mainly because even if you have permission if stuff goes down since you are not the land owner it could put you in a vicarious situation. Another thought is somebody watched too many episodes related to "Off the grid". I have seen several such shelters constructed by homeless people. It definitely looks like someone put some thought into it.
you guys are talking about this thing like its the Taj Mahal or something. A group of kids with even half a brain could build that thing. Not saying it was kids, but that thing isn't exactly a model of engineering.
