Sorry you didn't find him but same time its a silver lining. Meaning no guarantee he is dead. Maybe this year you will get a shot at redemption.
My guess is high shoulder blade, after it gets through that it hits where the ribs come together right over the top of the spinal cord. Not a lot of goodies there
A) wasnt my shot...dude B) you are correct. Im pretty sure the hunter had a little case of target panic since the buck went on alert Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Exactly why i posted it. Weve posted alot of videos in the past that werent "great" hunting clips. The hunt is the hunt...nothing is perfect. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
The shot placement looked pretty good. Sometimes the shot happens so fast all you see is an arrow popping out quickly and think, "dang my penetration sucked", when in reality the arrow hit the offside shoulder and you are golden. Not sure of the outcome of the video but even if the arrow only got 8 inches of penetration and hit where it did, I see that buck dying at some point. Now the tracking might be horrible and or non existent.
I would not consider them jealous, more self-righteous. It isn't enough for them to simply not use them they seem to think that anyone that uses a mechanical head is somehow a lesser hunter.
I put a Killzone through a shoulder blade. The arrow poked through the opposite side of the buck. He ran 75 yards and piled up. I was shocked to see the placement when I examined him. I honestly thought I hit him behind the blade by three inches or so. I got lucky, as it hit the thinner webbed part of the scapula. An inch different may have had a different outcome. I've had great luck with Killzones, and also with Slick Tricks.
