I don't have high hopes for these but I'm not going put a lot of $ into cams that I'm going to risk putting on public land...but if you're looking for a cheap camera (24.99) I thought I'd pass this along.

Thanks I'll prob buy one. I hunt edge of suburbs/farm country and it's pretty much same deal. I got a primos easy cam same price last May off ebay and while it isn't the best I don't worry too much about it walking away.

If anybody wants to see some video from the Bushnell cams I made a couple vids public on my FB page since I couldn't upload them to photo bucket for some reason.

    Page Not Found | Facebook

Looks like the cams were still listed at 24.99 but I'm not sure if they still have inventory or not. Ymmv.

The videos look good. I'm wondering if you tipped the camera up a bit if the flash would reach further. The way the camera is sitting it looks like some of the flash is being absorbed by the ground.

Maybe. I'm thinking a reflector may also help.

I haven't seen much for good pictures out of Stealth cams under the G30 level. The G30 is great if you can find it for about $80 your doing good.

I did find some Covert MPe6's last year for $55 and that was a steal of a deal. Those cameras are bomb proof. If you look hard you can find them for about $75.

Only take 4 AA's so I wouldn't think they would be too great on battery life. That's half the battery power most cameras have so you would think they would have about half the battery life.

Different part of the world from me.

Northern Wisconsin we get highs below freezing during hunting season and the coldest temp I had on a time stamp on a camera this year was -34

Lithium batteries then? I can get away with cheaper rechargeables.

Sometimes I use those. Just too expensive when your running 20 cameras. I pull most of the battery eaters out of the woods by November which brings my camera count down closer to 10-12.
But even running my Covert MPe6's over some bait in below 0 temps I would only get maybe two weeks out of the batteries (changing before they would die) because I was getting 6,000+ pictures every 4 days. So it's situation dependent for me too. I just hate the upfront cost of lithiums that's why I try not to use them.

I run some of the $40 Wildgame cameras and they work great. Price point camera but they work well for me. 8 months or so battery life. Descent photos and really easy to operate.
