Anybody have any bad experiences with them? I'm looking at swapping my factory strings out for a set and was curious if anyone has had any bad experiences. Mainly going with VT because they are a local company for me.

Good strings. Had no problems with them at all.

Vapor trail vtx are very good quality strings I used to use them awhile ago and never really had any issues with them but I've since switched to America's best bowstrings platinums cause I haven't found a better quality string yet and I've tried a bunch of companies. But ABB's or vapor trails is all I'll shoot. Can't go wrong with either.

Here in Minnesota They sell them to bow shops for just $45 and then shops sell them for $120.

I'm in an area where $10/hour is standard pay, so yea I'm tired of paying the big guy. Time to save up to dyi strings.

They also install them. I'd pay that for a good set of strings installed...

10 an hour standard pay? What who? Attorneys? School teachers? Electricians? Burger King servers? Everyone?

Also, they are 136 shipped for vtx strings if you buy directly from them... Bow shops have to make their money too...

I pay 150 a set for abb platinums and I'm not complaining but our shop will install anything at anytime for free as long as you purchased the bow from them. But remember you get what you pay for vapor trail and ABB's have awesome warranties and prob the best strings on the market with technology only they have and use to build.

A big reason I am thinking about vapor trail is because they are local. Like 5 miles from my house

I used to use them exclusively, but I'll be the first person here to say that the quality and accuracy of their strings has went down hill. The last two sets I got from them required a lot of twisting to get the bow into spec both ATA and max weight. Also had abnormal serving separation on those sets as well. For the record, the last set I did contact them and they were willing to replace. However for the price, they just really disappointed me and I didn't want to go through that hassle.

I have switched since to 60X strings and can not be more impressed with their accuracy and quality up to this point.

It's the only strings I use. Great guys that work there as well. If it's only 5 miles it's worth going in and talking to them in person. Ask for Jerrod AKA Ears. He will get you all set up and knows his stuff!

Teachers and doctors are the highest paid in kanebec county. Either way, after making trad strings for years for pennies you can't tell me it's that much more for a compound string.
