The snow melted down to about 4" near my house so I figured I would drive to the farm this morning which is only 45 miles away. Well I got there and there is still about 16-24" of snow up there even after these warm temps. In the past 2 weeks 4 of the 6 cameras out there died, so I changed those batteries. Walked the plots as best I could with no luck. The 2 cams that were running showed about 15-20 different bucks still holding both sides as of last week, I did notice a spike with only one side. Looks like I'm going to be waiting here in Northern WI a little longer until they start dropping.

well Team. we had a real good snow melt here and a few fields opened up.
i stopped to glass a sugarbeet field and FROM THE ROAD, i spotted all these minus the big one which i found right in front of my cabin in a foodplot.
took me and the dog a WHOLE 45 minutes to walk out and fetch them up:tu:
there is still plenty of snow in the field so i can't imagine how many are still buried??.
    we're off and running Team:clap:

Wow! what a great start! I walked today for about an hour and a half after school. I didnt find anything, but I cant say that I expected to. I will be going to the lease here shortly, and then things should start to get good for me.

Also, we are now on the score card thread. Its up to date and we are ready to go. Team name really doesnt matter to much, but its something we have to decide on. I like the ones that have already been mentioned. Any more Ideas?

All reports say most deer are still holding in my area but I'm going out for a long walk in the morning regardless. Hoping to find a few but my hopes are not to high. We got permission to search a lot of surrounding properties for sheds this year and I have hardly ever been on most of them. So mostly I'm just hoping to get a lay of the land and get a better idea of overall deer movement in my area altogether.

Went for a long walk yesterday. Didn't find any. Turned into more of a scouting trip then a shed hunt though so I'm not surprised lol I'll perhaps in two weeks I'll go again and since I have already seen it it will be more of a shed hunting trip. Might hit some other places in between we shall see

I looked for about an hour today after school. Starting this weekend I'm going to be very intrusive, get right in their bedroom and hit it hard.

Nice find Shane, are you still running cameras?

We just got another 6" of snow in my area and they are calling for another 12" over the next 10 days. I'm jealous of you guys but it looks like my shed season is getting later and later with this weather.

Actually I just pulled one when I was out today. There are some smaller ones still holding, but they are popping every day now.

I went for another walk today after school and came up empty. It was kind of last minute and local though so I'm not discouraged.
