I used to be greatly into the archery network...unfortunately contracted Lyme disease and was undiagnosed for several years. Have serious be neurological disorders. However, have a stepson who is so into the fact that I was a bow hunter and wants to learn...it's bringing me out of my cocoon. I am having 2 bows made for him...but I have forgotten how to teach him! I also used to make my own arrows, and need to figure it out again!

I am on disability and I really haven't had anything to look forward to until he told me this. His father, my husband, is part Blackfoot Indian but has no idea how to shoot (he's a banker! Really!)

I suddenly feel like I have something to live for.

When I first learned to shoot, there was a man, **** Raymond, aka Grandpaw Richard, who helped me and gave me the love for the art...if anyone knows how I could get in touch with him, I would be grateful!

I would love to start all over again and relearn so I can pass it on to the babes...

    With all my heart,
    indi

Jh...thank you so much for your reply. I was an RN, and due to seizure disorders and my age (yes, I'm an old botch) I have something called word salad, meaning I can't always say what I think. But I have to figure something out. I think this might be it. Just so no one thinks I'm someone whose trying to lie or whatever, I loved my old job. For 25 yrs I was an RN and went back to school to get my BSN and certifications in 2 different educational purposes.

I guess I feel like I have to say that so people realize I'm not grifting off the American people.

Love you all. Hope you understand.

I understand completely, Indi, your post was easily recognizable as not being a spam post of sorts. I also remember seeing posts from grandpaw richard but it was probably 10 years ago (or close to it) and haven't seen him around in awhile.
there are a lot of people here that can and will help out if we can.

JH, you remind me of Grandpaw Richard. He brought me in.

No, I'm not a spammer. I love the archery community. I stopped posting because I could not post properly. I am now on anti-seizure meds that help me to post as I used to.

It's been at least 8 yrs since I spoke to Grandpaw Richard. I miss him dearly.

I have a site less recurve made specifically for me, no charge, from a man known as Greywolf. I just put a bunch of holes in an office room, at only 5 paces with it, and boy do I suck lol!

How do I send pics? I'll send some when I can do better. At 10 paces....

Ok....I am unsure but from what I've found on the Internet, he has died?

    Can someone confirm this?
