You missed the newest rest unveiled at the ATA show. The Magne Drop by buck Rub Gear. It uses rare earth magnets rather than springs. Super fast, quiet, no bounce back, full capture and recapture on letdown. WI made.
That rest looks awesome. Couldn't listen to the video cause I'm in a work meeting, paying complete attention, but it looks like a pretty slick rest. $159 doesn't seem over the top on price either. May have found something better than MY QAD Ultrarest. The thing I like about my QAD and this rest is they still have arrow capture on let down. A lot of drop away rests don't have that. The no bounce is good too.
I forgot to link the video. My father did all that CAD modeling and 3D printed prototypes for the rest. You see his screen shots in the video. He's known the company owner for several years and agreed to be the CAD designer for the rest and the upcoming additions to the line. I kown he spent a lot of time perfecting it and prototyping parts for them. I know Buck Rub gear was at the ATA rolling out the arrow rest so I thought it odd its not mentioned in the above list of rests rolled out at the ATA.
I'm not sure who put that piece together for us, but it's possible that he simply missed them on the show floor. There's a ton of products to cover. If you can get ahold of someone have them email info on the rest and some photos to [email protected] and we can get it added. Looks like a cool product.
Anyone know if the NAP Crossfire can flip up without drawing like a QAD? The description says it stays up on let down but didn't specifically say you can flip it up without drawing. Just curious.
I have one on my bow - you manually lock it up prior to drawing. Once up it's locked until you shoot the bow or manually de-cock it.
