Im getting married august 19th of this year and need somewhere to go for a bachelor event. Im not into all that party crap or anything just want to spend my time outdoors. Id like to go on a hunt or somewhere where i can go on an awesome hike and camp out in the middle of nowhere. Does anyone have any ideas? Or what have some of you done that i can go do with my groomsman. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

Hog hunt would be great for a group of guys to do together. If it's just 1 or 2 buddies, I'd look into either antelope or an OTC Muley tag! 2016 Hoyt Defiant 30 Ridge Reaper Easton FMJ 400 125 Gr. Muzzy Trocars Sure-Loc Lethal Weapon Max Trophy Taker Nock Down Pro
Yeah its most likely 1 or 2 idk to much about the otc tags. Dont u have to go into a drawing for them? Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Over the counter means you can go into the store and buy them without a drawing, they are available first come first served. I love the concept as a whole, and like the idea of a turkey hunt like sundevil suggested. I turkey hunted my first season last year and I was able to get on birds almost every hunt and it was super exciting, even though I didn't end up taking a bird. Besides, if you take down a bird early in the trip you can always scout deer or something else for a couple days and go back for a season that wasn't open in august if you see something you like!
I did a fenced in hog hunt for my bachelor party two years ago. Had a good time everyone killed one but to tell you the truth I felt bad about it. It just isint hunting it's shooting a fair pig to me go on a free range hunt somewhere. Sent from my XT1565 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
camping fishing trip with maybe some varmint hunting thrown in. not a lot of pressure to it, a lot of time out there, and won't break the bank
I put together my own bach party it was a grouse hunting and trout fishing spectacular. Stayed at a little resort in the woods that only had generator power it was a big time. There were no strippers just cards played, drinking, fishing and hunting. I put on a clinic that weekend shot plenty of birds and limited out on trout, this was a week after I shot my first self guided bear in the area. Oh those were the days.
I skipped all of the suggestions - so just throwing it out there. We have a place that offers a little lodge - but also has a skeet shooting range, gun range, etc. Depending on seasons, they also have grouse/pheasant available and I think maybe dove. Do you have anything like that in the area? Otherwise I'd find a cabin - close to some water and have a backyard party. Fishing, sharing laughs with friends, cards if interested, horse shoes, etc.
