Why is everyone saying Matt Ryan is so good? This year is only the 2nd time in his career he's had over 30 td passes. He generally has double digit interception numbers as well. While I think he's dangerous, I also think he's a bit overrated.

Rodgers has 4 career games in the GA dome, his passer ratings in those games.

    114.5,
    117,
    125.5
    136.8

You would think Atlanta is his home dome.

I don't think anyone doubts AR and the offensive is going to get their points to be in the 30-35 range at least. I think this game comes down to the D of the packers and if they can just somewhat slow down Ryan the Falcons O.

But, that's the thing, even this year, I still think Rodgers is above him. He has 5 more total touchdowns. That's a pretty considerable amount really. Rodgers is at his best right now, Ryan at his best isn't in the same league as Rodgers.

True, if Rodgers had not sucked for him the first half of the season he'd no doubt have another MVP uncontested.

In a passing league honestly just having more TDs means very little to me unless it is a ton. Just my opinion and I'm a Packer true blood and love AR as our QB but still gotta tip my hat to Ryan overall for the year...but I still pick AR for this one game.

I think it is more if Atl D can slow down the Packers Offense. The Packers offense even without Jordy is stronger than it was the first meeting when Rodgers threw 4TDs. Defense will have Randall and possibly Rollins who they didn't have the first meeting, also have Clay who was out. As long as Burnett can play the Defense is stronger than the first meeting also.

    Perfectly said, Ty!

Rodgers would no doubt be the MVP had he not been "off" through the first 6 weeks.

I don't think the well will run out this week. Preferably against the patriots The Super Bowl.
I would love to see a Rogers Brady Super Bowl.

Rodgers has an advantage of Ryan but Atlanta has a advantage at running the ball. I think it will be a close game.

I'm not seeing how the Packers have been very lucky in the playoffs at all. Lots of people have gone down.

Aaron Rodgers to me is clearly the MVP. Matt Ryan has a great running game, the best receiver in the league and his other receivers would be the #1 receiver on most teams. Aaron Rodgers could make a high school receiver look like Julio Jones.. I know he had a struggle at the beginning of the season but he has more than made up for it. I think Rodgers wins MVP, and I'm a Cowboys fan.

You can't **** the bed for over 1/3 of the season and be an MVP in the NFL. Doesn't work that way.

    Packers 6 loses. Rodgers averaged 295.3ypg, 64.5comp %, 2.3td/g to .833int/g.

    Atl 5 loses. Matty averaged 301.2ypg, 63.7 comp %, 1.6td/g to .8int/g.

Not to mention Rodgers also ran for 199 and 2tds in those games also.

So if Rodgers sucked in the Packers loses, what does that say about Matty since Rodgers stats over all were better in each of their loses.

Totally agree... even when the Packers were on a losing streak, Aaron Rodgers was still performing at an elite level. Many people consider those stats you listed a decline, but half the quarterbacks in the league couldn't put up those stats with an all pro offensive line and the best receivers in the game. To me, Aaron Rodgers is clearly the MVP..

Looking at the injuries that looks like to me what is going to do the packers in. I'm not sure they can overcome all of them on both sides of the ball.

It would seem even when Aaron "sucks" he is still above average. I know as a Packer fan that I am spoiled in that the last two QB's have been pretty good. I often hear from viking fans how the Packers are only good because of luck with 2 quarterbacks, well it was not blind luck that brought those players to Green Bay. Just look at the other quarterbacks that were developed as back ups to those two quarterbacks and left as free agents that other teams quickly signed. Seems being drafted and coached and trained by the Packers is the best on the job training.

"Matt Ryan wins Pro Football Writers of America MVP award."

Pro Football Writers and AP have picked the same MVP since 2003. Matt Ryan will be the MVP.
