Hello, I need suggestions for a backpack. I would like a pack that is designed to carry a compound bow and arrows. Any Suggestions? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Hornhunter. Made in USA. Awesome folks to deal with. G2 or G3 awesome packs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I just picked up a used Tenzing 2220 at a good price. I considered the Alps Outdoorz Pursuit X, Horn Hunter G3, and Badlands Ultraday. The only one I could touch and feel was the Badlands, but it doesn't come in Mossy Oak or camo neutral tan or green and might have been the most expensive. I honestly thought the Alps X version was the best design. If price is an issue, the regular Alps. The Horn Hunter didn't seem to have enough external pockets for me. Tenzing was right in the mix, especially a used one at lower cost. If you're really budget conscious, Academy Sports carries one that is probably $50 or less. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I love my Badlands Treestand Pack. Came with the rifle boot and I bought the bow boot later on. Expands well for clothing or other gear. I suggest rubber gear tie for your arrows if you have a quiver, will attach to just about any backpack.
I got the Badlands Stealth for Christmas. So far I love it. It is small enough for the tree stand but bug enough to be a day pack out west. I have hunted three times with it; twice in rain and once it snow. It is an excellent pack that has held up well in the elements and had plenty of storage space for its size. It will carry a bow on the outside with the buckle straps. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I love my Badlands. I have a super day pack and got a 2200 for Christmas. I might sell the super Day now for something alittle smaller since I have the 2200 now. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I'll second this pack. Just got it from Amazon but haven't field tested it yet. So far this would be my pack of choice and I have 2 other hunting packs as well. So far, I haven't found a pack to beat the versatility. Amazon.com : ALPS OutdoorZ Pursuit Hunting Pack : Outdoor Backpacks : Sports & Outdoors
What ever you get make sure it has some type of stiffener. Be it a frame or at the very least a plastic sheet insert. Nobody likes a saggy bag. It's smaller than you would like but my Easton hinsch has an aluminum flex frame and it smokes my old Alps big bear.
Thanks for the link this is just what I was looking for with the blaze orange fly for the gun seasons. I have a $120.00 in Amazon gift cards.
Agreed. I bought a HornHunter sling pack last fall and love it. The fact that is made in the USA while most of the others aren't was icing on the cake for me.
a lot of great packs out there. am on my third year with the ALPS pursuit X. attached a photo of the pack and some of the stuff I carry. bottom line the pack is designed perfectly for my hunt style and is very comfortable fully loaded. .
