    New World record non-typical(muzzleloader)

This buck is a freak, first I have heard about this one. 312 3/8 will break old record by nearly 5"

Tennessee Buck to be Certified New World Record Whitetail

In Tennessee, about 30 minutes from our lease. There was a possible typical world record killed in the same County 3 days later but they are keeping it tight to their chest for right now until the green period is up.

Funny you mention that. The more I look at that pic the more it looks like those bases aren't connected to the skull plate the way they should be. There's no skull at all under parts of them??? Something's weird.

He had it officially scored though, I'm sure they would have been very critical. Doubt it is the same as the OH kid that screwed sheds to a skull and his taxidermist scored and posted it online.

This one is from '13, going to have it mounted on a different cape. His burrs overhang the pedicles by a half inch in some places.

First I saw this thread; that's an amazingly symmetrical buck for being so freakish.
And the burrs extending past the pedicure like that is nothing out of the ordinary.

I didnt realize Tennessee had bucks of this caliber when i read the story. I guess it was killed in a large AG field and the kid had trail camera pictures of him and also an earlier encounter.

And it is officially going to be the world record hunter killed deer in 2018.

I would love to know more about the buck. How old it was...what it looked like last year as well. I heard there is a high farm fence in the area as well, the rack almost looks unnatural.

    Congrats to the hunter!
