Thanks a lot what about the climbing sticks ? Sent from my SM-J320P using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
LW is a sponsor so they utilize it but no doubt some of them have some fixed ones hung that are not of LW variety, but LW across the board most likely.
Mostly lone wolf. I also have some big game because they're cheap but they really are noisy Sent from my SM-G930R4 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I have to pull ours down every year, over the years I've gotten rid of pretty much everything except the LW. If I'm going to hang them every year, I prefer the light weight and the overall quietness of the LW's. Also not very many companies will let you send in your stand and replace all the bushings and bolts on your stand.
Lone wolf Assault and Alpha, with the sticks. I still enjoy a nice ladder stand from time to time, they're just to noisy though. Sent from my SM-G930R4 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Lone wolf with some mods just to make it faster: up the tree and set up fast. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I Had an extra ruck sack, I took all the metal buckles off from the Molle and substituted them with 550 cord. It is super quiet without the metal parts, although I know if you google the ruck straps, or Molle straps you should be able to get them cheap. Or you can always go to an army surplus store and get them there. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Here's where I got the Molle Straps from: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AR2MEEG/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CHSR1C8/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 These straps make the walk in a lot easier and your able to carry more gear due the wider shoulder straps and the waist belt. Good luck
I still have a few non-Lone Wolf stands floating around the various properties I hunt - some are mine, others are guys I hunt with. Every time I hunt out of one of them or have to hang, move or take one down I'm reminded why I love Lone Wolf so much. They're simply better in every way - lighter, quieter, more comfortable, larger (most of the time), more versatile, etc. The only real exception I've found is the comfort out of some of the ladder stands out there. Although they're huge, heavy, a pain to put up and down, and not mobile friendly at all they can be pretty damn comfortable to sit in.
I agree that lone wolf stands are one of the best for the mobile hunter hell I owe 2 but I did purchase a millennium M7 recently. I made some changes to the M7. The ratchet strap is gone and I went to similar strap system as the LW. I also added a versa button and strap to the bottom for stability. So far the only cons are the hollow aluminum tubing and the lack of adjustability while on the tree. Overall the LW is superior but the M7 is a great option. I did get my M7 for $130.00, now they’re going for $175-$200. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Thank you, I've thought of using spray foam but never pulled the trigger. Any particular brand and type? Open cell vs. close cell foam?
