Team - Most of our seasons are winding down. I know a few folks are still out there trying to fill tags. I am one of them. Been trying for a doe all season long. Missed one with the flintlock the other week. Best of luck for everyone.

The obvious reality is that we are not going to be the champs this year. I hope each of you enjoyed taking part in the contest and making new connections. I have personally enjoyed our team. I think we had some positive active members through hits, misses, close calls, and child births!!!

If you still at it, let's hear some new stories!

I'll share one. I was walking into a new spot on state game land, on the way in...about 7:15, I spotted a deer crossing a trail in front of me. Maybe 70 yards. I put the hammer on the flintlock back and started looking for my shot. Right before I settled on the vitals, I was studying the head and spotted something that told me it might not be a doe... That deer moved forward a few feet and out of sight however, one directly behind it was in fact a doe and gave me a clear shot. Well, I completely missed. With snow down and being able to follow tracks I searched for signs of a hit and did not find any. About 30 yards from where I shot, I found this fresh shed. I believe this fell off as the bucks as it was running.

Thanks for the fun! I enjoyed everyone's stories and pictures.

I made it out for the last day and it was colddddd... sun came up and my bow was ice cold. Probably wouldn't have been able to pull it back.

It ended with a couple dogs chasing a coyote down in front of me.

JD congrats on the awesome buck, would love to see the mount if your doing one.

Billy, haven't heard from you and hope your family is doing well. Hope you kids will enjoy the outdoors with you soon.

Our baby boy is a lot of joy and I look forward to teaching him the fun of hunting.

    Happy hunting and God Bless!

I hope everyone had a good rest of their seasons! This past month has been pretty hectic for me. I will be going out in the morning for a doe hopefully back in Sodak. The season for does ends on the 15th so hopefully i can connect before then!

Had a cold day in the field Saturday, 6 degrees and windy. Struck out though
