    Will be taking the permanent out Friday-Sunday on a local lake. Really cold here so the fishing will be slower for a bit but should pick up by the end of the weekend. Making some ice now though; only -1° right now.

    Who's fishing this weekend?

    ....we're still waiting for ice.

    The fingers of our normal lake are starting to form - but it's been so warm/cold rain/snow this winter. Never made it out last year - really hoping to get out this year. I hate the cold, but besides opening day of trout, ice fishing is my favorite.

    Great trip so far. 11 crappies, 7 walleyes and 1 perch so far. I caught all but two of them. Threw back alot of 9" crappies and 13" walleyes. Lots of beer and not much fishing being done tonight.

    Pretty slow on Mille lacs. Finished with 10. Rattle reels kept us awake all night. Most fish over 21".

    Ton of people. Can only keep 1 fish between 19-21" but it's producing some real big fish. After the one for the wall.

    Damn shame what has happened to that lake, I had a friend that had a cabin on the south end he sold it right when the spearing and netting started I thought he was over reacting, he was right the lake is ruined.

    I was on 14.5" in SW MN. Unloaded the wheeler right before I left and used the truck. There was a one ton diesel with a plow and a 26' tandem house so I felt pretty safe going out with truck! Partied in that house last night; holy crap what a house!
