Let a doe pass yesterday hoping she would make it to my buddy for his first deer but she didn't. I'm at it again today by myself hoping to get another 50 for the team! I'm also very jealous of those bucks yall smoked!

Merry Christmas Team. Hopefully I get a late gift from the farm in January...

 

It's the last week of the season for me. The weather back home is beautiful for late season hunting but I'm 500 miles away due to my dad-in-law passing away. I'm glad to give up the end of my season for him. He was a great man.

Well my season is over had this guy coming in consistently during daylight but couldnt time it right to get him.

I planned on hunting him over Christmas break however on the 23rd i found these things laying just off our driveway literaly laying on top of each other. They scored 146" with including a rough estimate of 16" spread would have put him at about 162".

And tomorrow I head off to WY for a late season waterfowl hunt.

 

I enjoyed sharing my season with you all.

Now it's time for me to look towards the upcoming 3d season.

Sorry I couldn't contribute this year. I got skunked, not a single deer for me this year. Was out Wed-tonight in 5ish degree weather to make it happen. 2 random dogs busted 4 deer off the farm today while we were eating lunch and pretty much summed up my season.

We would have been top 5 with our missing bucks score.

 

Oh I'm sure that we would have won the contest by a large margin. Every time I replay the story in my head, the buck I lost gets bigger.

I was just referring to Tim ainsworth buck that the score has never been posted. Every team will have stories of the one that got away.
