My QAD rest felt is worn down, now my arrow is making a sliding noise when I draw. My bow is real quiet and I love that about my set up. So I'm not thrilled that my arrow is making this noise for the entire length of my draw.

Has anyone had this happen to them? Could it be as simple as gluing some new felt on the rest?

Stay warm out there guys and gals!

Yes, just stick a me piece on. You may have to make a hair sight adjustment. QAD expects that it wears. Mine came with a replacement felt. They also sale replacement QAD felts in many bow shops and sporting goods stores.

Yup as said above, replace the felt. Sometimes you can rough the felt up some to get it to last awhile longer.

I don't use any felt on my hdxs I can show pics. And they are quiet still and I never have any problems with animals hearing anything when I draw I did notice when using carbon express it was louder than any other arrow when drawing my full metal jackets there's no sound during the draw I think the aluminum slides better and quieter. But yeah I've been using them for years with no felt but if you wana keep the felt great I'll send you a video I made on how to wrap it and it'll make it last and look really cool.

I have used the "soft fuzzy" side of velcro in the center and shrink tubing on the arms before and it lasts a long time. If I have felt I use it, but if the felt wears out and I don't have a replacement kit here, I go the velcro/shrink tube route. Plus you can play around with colors if you want to lol.

Edit: Kind of like this but I put the shrink tube covering the whole arms.
