It's weird to me that season runs Monday to Sunday, not Saturday to Friday. So weekend warriors get relegated to the last 2 days of season. Maybe I'm over thinking it...

I've been sitting since first light and haven't seen anything but a bobcat. I hoped things would be better this morning due to a front coming through this afternoon. I have to pack it in and head home in about 45 minutes so there is still a little hope.
Ended up getting skunked yesterday. I'm not sure when my next opportunity to get out will materialize. Got a busy week this week.

I went out with the bow during Saturday's gun season and didn't see anything. The squirrels weren't even out. Checked 2 cams on that property and only had 3 deer pics from the last 10 days...

Was hoping to go out this weekend since the wife didn't have the weekend shift but the blizzard changed my plans. Now she had to switch shifts due to roads closed and works Friday and Saturday. leaving Sunday night open but its looking to be a high of -7 and wind chill close to -30 so probably wont be out then.

With the highs being in the negative to single digits that last two weeks we have had deer coming into out yard and cleaning up spilled grain by our grain bins and eating the grass from where we have snowblown out to be able to haul out the grain. My dad has been seeing deer back there an hour before sun down every night and even had my number two buck come in a couple times last week and within 30 yards of the bathroom window. I was able to get a box blind that we have on skids pulled up to the grain bins with a high of -14 for Saturday may try to get a heat in there and sit because they should be moving plenty early.
This tall 8 was 73 yards from my kitchen window on Tuesday. He had a doe locked down and was chasing a couple smaller bucks out of the area. He was back at 9:30 last night eating out of my bird feeder (15 yards from the house).

That is a dream buck wi p&y. We still need Tim ainsworth to enter his buck on the score card. A coulple more bucks and we might have a chance. ( not really but we can break top 5 I bet)
