Anyone shooting Easton Axis 300 spine? I shoot a 27.5 inch arrow out of a Halon 6 at 70lbs with slick truck magnum broadheads. Obviously I would rather be over spined than under but anyone have experience on how these fly? Looking into some new arrows.

Not a 300 spine but I shoot a 340 @30" with 60#. Very pleased, I liked the FMJ's better but got tired of them bending.

I like the FMJ as well but its tough choice. I shoot enough pounds to shoot a 300 spine and I wanted a heavier arrow. I think I'd rather know my arrows are straight or broken

I shoot the exact arrow set up on my Hoyt at 67lbs. My axis arrows are 340 spine and 27 3/4" length. You will do well with that set up. I have killed three deer this year; pass throughs each time. That arrow with a Slick Trick Magnum is deadly

i shot them this yr and they shot great but i wasnt pleased with my foc which was around 7%. my total weight for my arrow was 487 grains. i switched to black eagle x impact arrows last week to bring my foc up to 11% and my arrow weight went done a little so i picked up extra speed. The axis arrow will do just fine for you but i would check on your foc i think it is important

I shoot 300's and love them. They group great. Also shoot 125 broadhead to help get my FOC up. 30 inch arrow at 30" draw @ 72 lbs. I often think about switching to a lighter arrow, but the penetration I get is unbelievable. Stick with what works. I will shoot them for a long time.

At 27.5 according to the charts you should be around 340 not 300. Understand you said you want to be overspine but I have a H32 6 and the 340s shoot great out of it with 50 grain brass insert and 100 grain tip.

Well, not much now. But I switched to 340's one year and expandable BH. Shot two deer that year with out a pass thru. Switched back to 300's and found the fixed blade DRT. Haven't looked back. I made a terrible shot this year and had a complete pass thru that went thru the pelvic bone. I was pretty impressed. Will stay with this combo as long as they make axis and DRT's

Probably has more to do with the broadhead than anything else.
The exodus I use are some bone busters.

I use the axis 340's @60# - 28.5" with Slicks or German Kinetics and haven't had any issues.

Shooting Axis 300's with 50gr brass inserts and 100gr rage. Arrow is cut @29" and shooting 31"/72lb draw.
Overall weight on my arrow with Nockturnals is 510gr.
Without the inserts, 340 spine would be plenty stiff.
This arrow is heavy, but its quiet and will blow through just about anything.
Just for interest, I'm shooting 272FPS with this setup.
