Here is a pick of the buck I got NJ and the story .I normally hunt with a elite 35 but I wanted to try something different because I was not seeing any shooter bucks so I decided to try ground hunting with the crossbow in some spots I have never hunted. I walked into the woods the other day and as soon as I stepped in at 130 I spooked 4 does but when they ran back to there bedding area. At that point I was a little discouraged at first but then I remembered it's the rut and the bucks bed in the opposite direction so I jumped in a brush pile against a dead fall so I could shoot the run the does were on .after about 20 minutes I here a crunch right behind me on the other side of the dead fall and I think maybe it's just I squirrel because is coming threw the brush instead on the run. then 5 yards in front of me the buck steps out right of the tip of the dead fall I was leaning on! My crossbow was already already up thank god just in case it was a buck and there he was looking for his hot doe and about to head right at me! So I give it to him and he runs towards me then cuts left last minute and dies 20 yards away right in front of me!!!! Then i think why the heck did he come after me like that then I remember I had hot doe pee on me from the last setup and he though I was a bedded doe!!! So the lesson I learned from this hunt is don't put hot doe pee on yourself unless you want a buck in your lap! thanks again Steve Ciasullo for the scents It worked great and almost got me killed lol!
