We are back in second place with 806 1/2 points after the 11/17 update. Bootlegtater's buck has not been added yet. If everyone who has not yet killed a doe gets one, I think we will win the contest. Keep it up the great work everyone! Bootleg, has you scored your buck yet?

Keep it up guys. My season is over until after Christmas, but you best believe I'll be back out trying to get a late season buck.

No orange army for you Jake? You can use your bow while the orange army pushes deer to you

Anybody hunt this weekend? I only have doe tags left and I am determined to kill when I have my son with me. We were too busy to get out this weekend. I also am going to try to get my father-in-law out over Thanksgiving. He is scheduled to have surgery in mid-December and won't get
out after that with the recovery.

I was out, I went to Ohio and hunted some public land. I screwed up an opportunity a buck on Saturday. The buck came in from behind me. I tried to slowly turn around after I heard him. By the time I was turned around he was going away from me. What ticks me off was i was looking that way a couple minutes before that. Not a wall hanger but a really good buck. Oh well that's huntin.

I will be hunting this guy for the rest of the year probably. How old do you think he is?

It is hard to say from that picture. A broadside shot would be easier to tell. At least 3 1/2 based on the depth of his chest. During November the necks are so swollen, it is hard to tell based on that alone.

I try to not hunt on the private land and every piece of public has deer drives going through.

We'll see. Still would only be able to hunt the weekend.

Am I reading this right? You don't hunt private ground on purpose?

My son shot his 6th deer today and first deer while hunting on his own.
