Thanks for the response! the past two times out, I was hunting a trasitional area from a swamp to Mt laurel patches. I think i might just stick to that.

Just had that 1/4 Holt buck just circle back by just out of range.

There are some big bucks falling this year on here. Great job, everyone. I'll just live vicariously through you all.

 

It was nice to get my first archery buck, but the feeling afterwards is terrible. I won't shoot another 2 year old buck again to end my season. I'm so jealous of everyone out hunting. Had to spend my "rut-cation" doing yard work and honey-do crap. Specially watching these big ones fall. I guarantee my camera will be filled with daytime pics of a mature buck.

 

Doubt it. Doesnt seem to be much midday movement right now.

 

I just shot my biggest buck in the shoulder at 5 yards. Arm cramped as I drew back and he was too close to let down... Noooo

6 inches is enough to do some damage. Did the arrow stay in or did he break it off while running?

 

It was still in him. He stopped at about 70 yds and limped around and then was too thick to see him.
