I think these bucks in my area on locked down with those early does that came into heat early. All the deer I have been seeing are yearling does and small bucks. Haven't seen a mature doe for 3 days now.
Gonna be getting down soon and meeting up with a buddy I got into bowhunting 3 yrs ago. He's gotten a spike and a doe. He has never seen any rut behavior so I'm gonna do my best to set him up for a noon to dark hunt.
Been my best sit of the year so far. Have seen 9, rattled in a fork horn to within 10 yards. Im convinced the big boys are out and about today!
