Had a great morning today, my son and I were in stands before day break and we saw 6 different bucks, two I would have shot. The two were Running by us , I was able to stop one of the two shooters. He thought about coming my way,but he lost interest. We climbed down at 1030 so we could visit my daughter in college, it's a 2 1/2 hr drive away. The wife and daughter are shopping now and I'm sitting outside waiting for them to come out of the store. Great day thou, 6 bucks in the am and my daughter in pm. I love it
Thanks guys. It was one of the most rewarding hunts of my life. We busted our tails and hiked up a bluff and 1.64 miles in on public. My buddy was 300 yards away and saw him heading my direction. I ended up calling him to the base of my tree. I chose a poor angle and ended up pulling off the blood quickly to let him lay overnight. We walked right too him that morning. Nice job Ben! I went and sat in a new stand this morning and saw a new buck that was around 200-300 yards away I tried rattling him in but he was concentrated on a doe. He would of probably scored around 140.
Ohio was a bust. One more week of hunting in PA. Got some decent bucks cruising, just need to be in right place at right time.
I had the opportunity to take this buck tonight but decided to pass. Probably would have scored around the 120s.
We r in the woods, so far we have seen 2 bucks. CJ was busted by a 120 class buck earlier, it caught him drawing. 12 yards walked in straight on to him when it turn a little he started to draw. Cool encounter. That's hunting thou
