Never hunted a cattle pasture before.. anyone have luck with it.. one I'm thinking about tree lined ditch and a swamp that isn't in pasture that doesn't have a single tree that I would trust to hold a stand.. question is will deer come from the swamp out into pasture..with the cattle out there

Deer usually avoid cattle like the plague.

Taken more than a dozen deer out of a cow pasture. While they often do not mingle the deer will feed in a pasture with cattle and horses. Used to have sheep and the deer would come in with them and eat in the winter.
Used to have an 50 acre pasture that had a persimmon grove in the back corner. No real place for a stand but for a few weeks in November the deer would hit it pretty hard. The cows did not seem to care for them. Could not get within 400 yards of them. There was a 5 or 6 year old buck that had a spike on one side and a fork on the other. I tried for 3 years to take him out. One evening during gun season he was out there eating persimmons with some does. I got the .270 and went in the barn and got the wife's horse and walked it out into the pasture. Keeping on the backside we walked at an angle to the deer till about 100 yards to where the sun was setting behind me. I knelled down and let the horse walk on. About the time the deer realized I was there it was to late for the buck.
See deer in pastures all the time at salt licks and tanks.

The two biggest I killed in a pasture were a 150+ and an unscored 11.

I've got permission to hunt a cow pasture that has the back corner fenced off to keep the cows out. It's only abut a quarter of an acre but I put a trail camera out there and got tons of pictures. Even got one of a nice buck. So they're out there.

Step in cow patties for cover sent also. Sometimes hard to sit if the cattle follow ya and hang out but most times they will wonder off. We hunt a lot of pastures but park helps also

Don't use any estrus scent around cattle.
