What is yalls opinion on different lone wolf lock ons? I want one that is easily moved yet has enough room. I am 5'8 165lb the small one fits me well the platform just seams a little small. Also if you have pics of your setup posts would be appreciated.

I havent seen a lonewolf product that i didnt like so far. step up to the alpha if the assault seems small.

I'm 5'9 and 155 pounds and I hunt out of a XOP that is just like the Lone Wolf Assault. You only need enough room to stand and turn around. Not doing circus acts up there. LOL

6'8" 225 and I use the Alpha II hang on. I prefer a two man ladder stand by this works well.

I like my Alpha II. It's a little heavier than the Assault, but I don't mind the extra weight for the extra platform room.

The only lone wolf stand I'd steer clear of is their new welded stand, I believe the alpha tech. Any of their cast stands I believe will serve you well as a mobile hunter.

I'm 6'1 & 220lbs, have 2x Alpha II hang-on's that I use primarily as my run & gun setups along with lone wolf sticks. I've tried various other combination and this is by far my favorite. When it comes to all day sits, all I do is take off the original seat and replace it with the memory foam option. In terms of space for moving around, its got plenty. My secondary hang-on's that I would recommend, is the Hawk Helium XL series. Same design, same weight, less $

Assault is 4 inches smaller on the platform portion away from the tree. It is also 3lbs lighter. If you look at pictures, the area under the seat is "less-wide" too (which is how 4" of platform = 3lbs), the Assault also goes in narrow sooner than the alpha so saying the Assault is 4" smaller is deceiving as the total area of standing on the platform is more than just the 4" difference on the end..

IMO, the Alpha II is better. It's what I have. 3 extra pounds is worth the bigger stand area to me, I just feel more comfortable in a larger stand.

I'm 6'2" and I use the LW Assault II all the time and it works great. Can't go wrong with either.

I am 5'10" 205 with size 12 boots. I had the Assault and liked it a lot. I never had an issue with the size. I sold it this past summer due to bicep surgery and not being sure if I could hang it anymore, but wish I had kept it. I used 4 Lone Wolf sticks with it.

I'm about your size (5'10 / 163) and I have an Alpha and 4 sticks.

Like the assault because you can fit it anywhere; found it small for my taste but after hunting a larger stand like the Hawk helium kickback I feel cramped on the Alpha LW, Really like the LW system and how it's easy to hang anywhere.

I keep going to the Hawk because it's like flying 1st class vs coach (room and comfort wise) for the longer days in the stand.
