Yeah honestly, I'm most likely going to switch majors. The math for me is beyond a challenge. It's never been a strong suit for me, always a constant struggle. If it's not there it's not there.

Math can be learn, just takes time. It's similar to English and writing as it has rules and "do's-and-don't". Once you learn those you'll be as fluent and proficient with math as you are with reading and writing.
One thing that kept me going and strong through my studies was to recognize that math and technology are man made. So if one man can develop it and teach it, then I can learn it.
English uses words to describe how things are.
Math uses equations to describe how things are.
    That's the beauty of engineering!

You'll get there boss, don't give up so soon. A lot of the early classes are "weed out" classes. They weed out those who aren't dedicated to the major. Those ones who are will have to power through it. The latter classes are where the fun begins!

Personally i dont read on stand. i struggle with hearing loss from an accident and a career in manufacturing along with my eyesight fading at the ripe old age of 34. I need all the concentration i can get! Not to hi-jack the thread but im seriously thinking of getting a game ear piece. anyone use one?

I don't read while bowhunting around home, but I will grab a book for turkey hunting, gun season, and for our trips out west.
I've been reading "Last Stand: George Bird Grinnell, The Battle to Save the Buffalo and the Birth of the New West" but for our trip, I want to consolidate room, so I'm thinking I may bring "Sand County Almanac" instead.

I like this thread. At least the topics staying on post and not just people saying how much better they are than the rest of us at hunting. Anyway I'm probably gonna have a textbook with me, i just started my masters. Otherwise I'd like to check out the teddy Roosevelt book

I like to read on all day sits. Usually articles about how to hunt more effectively! I can't get into anything too deep. More so because I don't want to lose concentration. Come mid October usually, you can hear everything coming through our woods with the amount of maple leaves on the ground. By November it's maddening with all the squirrels trapping through.

Wow if guys get pissed off at reading they will hate me. I not only read sometimes I even answer work emails on the stand ! Text my wife, friends, family..generally keep in touch with people that are important to me. I even bought a GPS messenger to keep in touch when I don't have cell service.

I prefer to write on stand. Granted, it's not a full blown novel, but it's mostly dates, times, weather, animal activity, and random thoughts for next years preparations. It's just a basic "whats going on in the woods" journal.
