I've had the XDS .45... the only thing I didn't like was the slide. You had to yank it back hard and just the right way or else it would jam. Other than that, it was a decent gun. I had the .45 and not the .9mm, so mine kicked a little harder than I liked. Overall, great carry gun.
Matt shot the 3.3 inch, I also have a 4 inch in 9mm that is always in my vehicle. Both shoot well with less recoil that I expected them to have. I liked the .45 enough that I got the 9mm but like anything I would shoot it and compare it to anything else you might be eyeing.
