Things are just starting to pick up on my properties.. also I have been guiding the wife and kids so my good sits have been limited to only two hunts so far.. Next week my vacation starts and things will get real serious over the next 3 week... It would be a strange year If I didn't drop a couple of deer with my bow.. Plenty of time to lay some down...
I agree and with this most likely being my last year to hunt my property I'm going in with that mind set and sitting more often. I will try and get out there next weekend
Good luck buddy.. I have been seeing more activity this past week.. Had a little 6 point chase a doe across the road in front of me last night during the ride home...
Cold front moved in here in SW Missouri. Hoping deer will be moving tomorrow. Good luck to everyone this weekend!
Good luck everyone, hope your enjoying your time tonight n the stand this week, heading back to Kentucky in a week or so, just doing my simple math if half of us got does we would be tied for the lead. We would come out of nowhere like that Brute you have never seen before.
A buddy I'm hunting with got a doe this morning. Me, on the other hand, have yet to see anything. Still only day 1 though so plenty of time. We are on public land that hes familiar with and ive never been to so im trusting him to put me in good spots. It was 51 this morning and suppose to get close to 40 tomorrow.
Good luck! I'm out this morning. Low of 40, high of 58. Looks promising! Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
I'm trying. Day 1 I saw nothing. Today will be the coolest day so I'm going to sit all day. I'm crossing my fingers.
Called it a morning. Now for bacon eggs pancakes and hashbrown casserole then football till afternoon hunt. Oh saw this when leaving my stand Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
My all day plans are changing. This cold front brought out all the archers and now this public area is crawling with them. I've had 2 walk up on me and seen about 4 more just walking around. With all this pressure, the deer won't move till night time. Oh ya. The 43 temp this morning has turned into 75 so now I'm swearing my balls off in this insulated bib.
Missed a doe this morning. Held low but misjudged the distance. Ended up skimming her belly; a couple tufts of white fur and a drop of blood. Kicking myself because it should have been an easy shot. Oh well.
