Decided to upgrade bows this year and after shooting countless different brands and bows settled on the bowtech BTX with 70 lb limbs. has been a great bow up until today I thought I'd fling a few arrows at lunch, well first arrow into my shooting session I draw back settle the pin and was about to let it fly when I hear a pop and my rest drops. I'm still at full draw thinking what the. After inspection I see limb splinters and cracked down the center needles to say I'm done bow hunting until I can get new limb. Very disappointed to say the least and wishing I would have stuck with Hoyt. included picture hope it works

Glad you didn't get hurt, failures at full draw are scary!

My buddy's Experience did the same thing. Then Bowtech was so kind to send back 60# limbs instead of #70...

I had a Destroyer that de-laminated in my hand as well. I would rather shoot a recurve than go back to Bowtech

I had the same thing happen twice to my destroyer. I still love the bow, but I ended up switching brands this year and keeping the bowtech for backup. Bowtech was quick to send out new limbs but does suck not having your bow for 2 weeks.

How much longer are people going to put up with this from bowtech.

Barnesdale limbs are the only way I would feel comfortable with a BT anymore.

Bowtech consistently seems to have limb issues with higher draw weights over the last few years.

Bowtech is replacing limbs they will be shipped tomorrow but I'm hesitant to keep this bow as it will always be in the back of my mind every time I shoot. Might just have to buy the defiant like I was leaning towards originally

I will never buy another, and I was a staunch supporter because I never had issues until I did.

Defiants are nice, I miss mine a little. Halon 6 was great, a bit heavy but OK. Not crazy about floating yokes, had to shim it to tune it. I wouldn't hesitate to get another Hoyt though, excellent bow.

Bowtech will never get a dime from me. I have seen multiple threads with the same story within the last few months.

Went through 4 sets of limbs on my Bowtech Captain. I told Bowtech to either give me a brand new bow or keep you POS limbs. They sent me a brand new Prodigy. I sold it and got a Mathews NoCam HTR. Best move I ever made. I would never go back to a Bowtech or or the shop I was using. Reoccurring theme with Bowtech.

They are working on split limbs for Bowtech's. I would considering buying another one if they start making them. I had 3 without an issue and loved them (Assassin, Experience, RPM 360). But everyday you read more and more posts about a broken Bowtech. I just can't bring myself to trust them now.

Sorry to hear about your BTX. I am glad they are replacing the limbs but I am with on not being sure if you trust it now.
