Can someone just answer the question here because I'd really like to know, I'm struggling with this right now?
The link should be working now. The answer is that there is no answer! For me personally this type of situation requires a little additional scouting to locate the hottest acorn sources. Not all trees and areas are created equally. You'll need to put some boots to the ground and find the areas that are concentrating deer, then move in and hunt them. While there may be acorns everywhere the deer will still be predominantly feeding in a few distinct areas. Sometimes it's close to their bedding cover, other times it's close to destination food sources like corn or bean fields. And when all else fails, the rut will have them moving all over the place. Get in a good transition/travel corridor and park your butt there when the time and conditions are right. Sometimes patience and waiting until the time is right is the biggest key to killing bucks.
That's my biggest problem Justin as a new hunter. I have the land and I know the deer are there just having the patients to not pressure and the knowledge to know where to be and when to be there is killing me.
