First sika deer!

    I was fortunate to be able to shoot this great little sika stag yesterday. I had hunted them once last year during rifle but this was my first time with a bow and with guys who knew what they were doing. I never could have done it without the help of some good friends that know the ropes. We were covered up in deer all afternoon but called this one in close. He stepped out at 20 and I put him down easy. The rut is in full swing and he was bugling and dogging a hind, it was a fun hunt, I haven't been shook like that in a while. I am awful proud of this deer!

    I haven't had any yet but they are an elk and everyone I know that hunts them prefer them over anything else.
