So I got down from my stand and 2 bucks were standing on the field watching me walk and then eventually trotted off. How much damage do you think this does to the area or how much does it bother the deer?

If they trot off cause they saw a camouflaged sasquach looking blob that they weren't sure of then I think you may be ok if you let it cool down for few days. If they smell you it's alot worse.

I'm not sure they sat and stared at me for the longest time before they trotted off and unfortunately I believe the wind was blowing right to them but it's not like he busted out running fast so I don't know it's also in my stand it was blowing towards them too so maybe I did alright with my scent control?

Those 2 deer may skirt your tree the stand is in and move away about 30 yards just to piss you off but the other deer in the vicinity won't know the difference. I'd stay put. Unless it's a deer you want!

They don't know where my stand is I don't think I was walking out of the woods and they were in the field near my stand...

Agree. I would only consider a change in your plan If you're after one of those two. Otherwise keep at it. A camera might help to tell if they're still around or other deer patterns have changed.
