Same here. Had a good front move in within the hour. Great weekend to hunt and I'll be working until Monday.
Any action this weekend? Just got off work. Gonna hunt tomorrow afternoon and Tuesday morning. Looking like a low of 40 degrees tomorrow night which is fantastic.

Heading in about 2pm. Gonna buzz scout a long ridge for some white oak spots I marked in the spring. Hopefully I run into some hot sign, if not it is near a bedding area so maybe Ill get some action.

They will slowly start turning toward more and more daylight movement......you will catch one off guard soon.
Just wanted to throw out an update since i havent posted much. Hunted a few nights last week. Been passing on the does i have seen because they all seem to have small ones with them. Ive even seen some young fawns still feeding on mommas!!!! Havent run across any loaners to fill the freezer with just yet!!! Ive seen some up and coming young bucks but I think the rut will drag a few older deer my direction
Looks like on Nov 5th I'll be headed to the Missouri/Iowa (Missouri side) border for 6 days. One of my good friends dad has 300 + acres up there. We'll be going to try and get some big deer on the ground. Property has some thick nasty areas along with open hardwoods and crp. Surrounded by big farms. I'm a little excited to say the least.
I'll be out this weekend. Going to try and get one tomorrow morning. It's also opening day of youth rifle. I'll turn my 6 year old lose tomorrow afternoon and see what he can do.
