Nice buck buckeye! Congrats to your buddy! I haven't been around much lately. I've been super busy trying to get caught up at the office after my mule deer hunt. I've hunted twice this season with plans to just kill a doe....once in IL and once in MO. Didn't see a deer in IL. Hunted behind my house in MO yesterday just hoping to kill a doe because I haven't gotten a single picture of a good buck so far this year. I just got set up in the tree about 4:30 yesterday afternoon, heard crashing to my left and 3 bucks ran by at 25 yards....a big 140's class 8-point, followed by a 6-point and another 8-point almost identical to the first buck. A minute later I heard a coyote howl where they came from. The bucks hung out about 125 yards from me in the woods and never made it up my way. Crazy! I was screwing with my phone trying to connect my GoPro to it when they ran through so I didn't get any video. If the wind is right this afternoon, I'll be back in there. Doe hunting just got put on hold.
Sorry for the delay, it took me longer to go through pictures than I expected. Here are some of the most interesting pictures I got from the latest pull. You will see on buck on a few cameras that is obviously our #1, I believe he is "Ghost Rider" from last year because he was only photographed at night a couple times and never seen or heard from again. I'm glad he is making more steady appearances!
What do you guys think on the age of the buck in the pic WGI_0016(1)? It looks like he is going to be a 120-125" 10 pt, and he is very identifiable with that torn ear, but I can't decide if he is 2 or 3. His antlers scream 2 for this area, but his body looks long and his bell sags a little and he does have a small brisket... Curious on your guys' thoughts

really thinking of take friday off, and heading out thursday after work.. have a nice cold front coming thru. Temps on friday morning are going to be 35.... how can i not be in the stand!
I will be taking a half day on friday and hitting the woods hard this weekend. Does and 3 year olds are on the hitlist!

Well I'm finally gonna make it back to the woods. I am gonna try to get out this evening. If that doesn't work I will be hunting both tomorrow morning and evening and Sunday morning. I'm ready to sit in a stand.
