So I've been hunting this harvested bean field that get's a lot of attention from about 7-10 does for the past week. I'd estimate them to be around 2-4 years old and maybe 1 year old too. I consistently see these does but I have not seen any bucks around them. Don't bucks hangout around groups of does or are there just no bucks in the area with this herd?

Right now the bucks are doing their own thing. If they are feeding with those does, they are likely joining them at night. Find the does three weeks from now and the bucks will be nearby.

If your on a group of does now, shoot one for the freezer and then follow them around for another 25 days days. There you will find your bucks.

I wish I had lots of does, because the boys will be coming soon.
Get some meat early then watch for the bucks to start circling soon.

I agree with the bucks coming when the time is right, I would never kill the live bait though fill the meat tag after the buck tag is filled.

From my experience, and after rut, bucks don't group with does until late winter Jan or Feb.

Same thing here. I have yet to even see a buck this season. All does and fawns. It's been really slow

That is why I gave up hunting early season, I hate sitting and only seeing does. I have been more successful by hunting less.

For me its been the same group and somedays they are split up but regroup later after sunset. They always show up at the same time (6:30PM) and have about 3 different routes they follow throughout the week across the bean field.

Keep hunting where the does are and you will see the bucks showing up soon. As soon as the first one comes in estrous, they will all be on their feet. I choose not to shoot does until I have filled my buck tag. I need the does to get the bucks in. If you can pattern the does, they will come.
