What a tease Ruger. Looks like there will be rain for the opener Saturday. Only way I'll be hunting is in a blind videoing for my buddy who has a buck patterned. My girlfriend is begging for me to take her to our new spot but we aren't doing that unless the conditions are right. Lots of nice bucks there, so shes antsy.
Fine, without going in to details let's just say if everything goes as planned I'll be hunting on my own land by December.
Only 13, but it's about 12 acres of woods and in the perfect spot. Also backs up to my buddy's farm that I've got permission on as well.
Tomorrow is the day a whole lot of people have been waiting for. For what it's worth BE CAREFUL. I still have back problems from falling on my way down a tree thirty years ago. I was in a hurry to recover a dear i had just shot and seen fall and got careless. I'm looking forward to seeing how our team can do. Good luck!
I am leaving for the farm right after work today. The forecast for the trip doesn't look to bad with high's of 67,71,& 72 for my three days of hunting. Since its been a month since I have been down there I probably won't hunt tomorrow morning and just check cameras mid morning instead so I can get a game plan together. Good Luck everyone
On my way home last time I had the pleasure of meeting one of Indiana's finest as he wrote me a speeding ticket on 465. I should have known better on that stretch of road....I guess I needed that expensive reminder! Good luck to you too buddy!

Had a pretty eventful but warm opening day. Stayed dry in a blind this morning videoing for a friend. Saw some does and fawns. Then went out in the evening to my new property. Had lots of action deer wise with 4 or 5 does within 20 yards and seeing some little bucks. It was just too dang warm for me to think of shooting a doe right now. Did get to check my camera and had a buck show up that easily made his way to the top of my buck list. Probably the nicest buck I have ever been after. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
