+1 or its a good excuse to own one of your own. They aren't overly expensive these days and most you can get a crank for.
Good luck micheal. I'm taking my daughter with me for the first time this year. She's only 2 so don't expect to sit very long in the blind. But it's all about the time together!
Missed the biggest buck of my life this morning. Arrow hit that one infamous twig and launched right over his back! 32 yards.... Clean miss. Be back in the tree in the morning
Saturday was opening day. Hunted both morning and evening. Nothing too eventful but was fun to get out. Hope to hunt again tomorrow evening and Wednesday morning. Posted a few pics in general bowhunting forum.
Opening day came... I was about ready to get up and my wife came in from the living room and said we were having a baby. I got myself a doe opening morning! She was 7.15 lbs =)..
Well I shot a doe on Saturday but I hit her high. Followed a poor blood trail for 300 yards but then she crossed the fence into the neghbors property. He has made it very clear nobody is allowed on his property period so I had to call it off. I beleive the hit was non lethal based on my arrow and the blood. I have a picture of the doe crossing the fence on trail cam. I will post it tomorrow. I feel terrible....
I think so too, she went uphill which is uncharacteristic of a deer that's been hit hard and the blood was present but hard to find. I cant believe I didn't hit her spine.
The infamous dead zone Below the spine and artery and above the vitals. She basically got a piercing.
Picture as promised. This side was the exit side. Still mad at myself for the bad hit but feel a little better that there is some agreement thay she is still walking.
