    Any bear sightings?

I have pee wee ball in the morning, then off to the tree for an afternoon sit.

    Good luck this weekend everyone.

It was pouring all night so I didn't go out.

I took the opportunity to check my cameras. Got the bear a few times on cam. I think I got pictures of my number 1 buck I got last year. [IMG]

I'll show you guys the picture when I get it off the card and let you decide if it's the same buck. September 13 and 14 I had more bucks on my cams than I have all year (full moon).

I have a hard time telling from year to year...but a dandy regardless. Hope he crosses your path.

I had three nice bucks near me late this evening while hunting an oak flat near a bedding area. One possible shooter, but I had already lowered my bow when the light faded (still within legal time)...

Pretty quiet for me this evening. All I saw was 2 doe at last light in a bean field on the opposite ridge. Not sure that even counts.

We opened yesterday, but I wasn't able to make it out because of a nephew's birthday party. Have another one a week from today, but I'm going to try to make it out Saturday... praying for cooler weather!

Went yesterday evening, nothing. I went this morning and passed on 3 younger bucks and I'm in a tree again this evening.

I may get out some for evening hunts over the next couple of weeks but we have a vacation planned next weekend. It will be a couple weeks before I get to hunt a morning again.

On an unrelated matter, my Vols broke an 11 year winless streak versus Florida finally. Go Vols!

Got my first ever bobcat pics from Saturday's card pull. I thought that was pretty cool.

Nice looking bobcat for sure. Sat twice now, deer movement has been good just not the mature ones of course! Going to hopefully get out Sunday afternoon and then back out for a couple weeks and wait for the cold mornings of October!!

I sat in another spot this afternoon with acorns, deer poop, and a monster scrape nearby - but was skunked...

Season opens tomorrow... Glad the weather finally broke & acorns are starting to fall based on last weekends' lane trimming trip. Who all will be out?

My season opened 2 weeks ago on 9/17 but I haven't been able to get out because of weddings and birthday parties the last 2 weekends (I'm mostly a weekend warrior). Getting out tomorrow for the first time even though it's the girlfriends birthday haha. I'll be out Sunday as well.

Sat out last night for the afternoon. Scored a spot here around Cannon Falls, MN area which is nice for when I can't make it to our farm in WI. Nice having a spot this close! First sit was good, went in blind (knowing there's good deer in the area) and passed up this nice buck and several does. 18 yards, so it was a tough call. But season is still young and so is he! ^^ This gets my blood flowing!
Season opened here last weekend, but I had a nephew's birthday party to attend. I have another one on Sunday (big family lol), but if all goes well I'll get my first sit tomorrow afternoon.
    Stoked would be an understatement!

Not sure if this has ever happened to anyone else...but while walking to my stand last Sunday afternoon...I found a ladder stand that I had "lost".

So Saturday mid-morning, I will be doing a little maintenance on that stand. Then I am planning to hunt Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon as well. They have been in the field most of the week... hopefully that pattern holds. It looks like the weather is going to cooperate.
