They must be gluttons for punishment (or rejection, at least). Urbz, Saban, Herman? I don't think so. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
True. I don't know... I just don't see this one though. Could be wrong, but I hope I'm not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Herman is winning with 3 and 2 start talent, now he gets 4 and 5 star talent, look out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
True.. but the way he's going, 4 & 5 star players will line up to play for him, especially if Houston joins the Big12... Also, Herman has zero ties to LSU (or the SEC for that matter). His ties are in Ohio and Texas. I think he'll wait it out. Now Kiffin, on the other hand... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
LSU until Urban retires, establish well in the SEC..then to the B1G to take over at tOSU. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Les had zero ties to LSU. Ohio and LSU are the same job. Both states are rich in football history and the only school in that state for football. So the best kids go to Ohio and LSU Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Did you really just compare LSU's "football legacy" to Ohio State's?!? Lol... The money will be bigger than tOSU's, but the history isn't even close. Matt, I see Kiffin or Jimbo Fisher as the favorites. Herman is everyone's #1 choice, but that kind of security means he's the one guy that can afford to be picky. I think his loyalties and ideal situations lie elsewhere. But it will be interesting to see if he can turn down that kinda bank. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No I compared the states that are big schools in the state and have zero competition for the best players. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I don't care if he were to go to LSU, it just doesn't seem to be the best move. Poor state funding, the place floods every other year, they spell go - geaux, their colors are purple and yellow.
I was surprised at the timing. I hope UK throws all of the king's gold at Les to be the rebound girl for him for a few years and LSU steals Petrino from Louisville. This upset of the balance of power in the commonwealth lately is unsettling. My blue blood doesn't stand for it. I'm ok with UK sucking at football, so long as UofL isn't really good. lol
Like I said, I have no "problem" if he chose LSU, there just seems to be better fits. He was born in Ohio, went to college in California and has spent 15 of his 17 years as a Coach in Texas. We know the negative aspects of LSU, what does LSU offer that other top programs who will also offer him a blank check? Serious question, help me come around on Herman to LSU. One would be he would own the SEC after Saban retires and very well could give him all he could handle until he retires. What else?
