I know a lot of people who hunt Stewart. They say there are a lot of big bucks if you can get away from the pressure.

I'm as ready as I can be I think! I hunt 3M and 3J mostly. I do have a couple spots more upstate that I may hunt occasionally.

Checked the cameras yesterday down in 3s. Have a few decent ones showing up. Amazing how a few pics of antler can change my whole attitude. Super happy guy all weekend!! Lol ImageUploadedByBowhunting.com Forums1474840382.393934.jpg

Haven't had a buck on camera in 2 years, 12 cameras August through December, except 3 little bucks that rolled through one side of the property and hit 2 food plots a half mile apart, at night, the first week of November- the week after our bow season ends! Got to love VT! Lots of does though, so I'll be filling a tag and trying to figure out what is going on with the bucks as soon as moose season is over. Good luck to you NY boys, lots of good looking deer in this thread!

I haven't checked the cams sine Aug 27th. I will be checking them on opening weekend. I can't wait. Just waiting to see what the wind will be to decide what stand I will be in.

Gear is almost ready to go. Scent crusher closet is ready to be fired up.

A little new Bowhunting in the East Coast and the area. Hunting private a friends private land (I'm essentially the caretaker, he never goes there)... 150 woodland acres wedged between farmland. Third season there, definitely gets poached tough for me to control as I live 90miles away and can only get up there on the weekends.

First season with a 1,5 acre food plot. Went with whitetail institute extreme...

Picked up a couple 8pts on trailcam, but not any clear shot of body mass... There's a few 4pts and a Bunch of does....

Still trying to stalk... But that probably why my freezer is empty....held off from early season does in hopes of having more does to draw in bucks from the farm fields...

Still trying to figure out where to place stands, but I haven't quite gotten the knack for that, but don't know a lot of people in the area, and wary of poachers (see a lot of tracks in the snow onto the property from the roads and surrounding properties)... Still not sure how to approach that either.

Any way good luck to all this year, keep the stories and photos coming.

Same here. Hunting this year is going to be a surprise with no good pics. Mr. Buck will have to show up eventually with all the does.

I have gotten more bucks than does on trail cam this year. Strange. Very strange.

Complete opposite from what you guys are seeing. Granted most are very young bucks.

I have heard the same, but supposedly it is not bad for bow season. Gun season it's like the 4th of July, but I guess now it's a target rich environment. I will probably get in there with my climber at some point.
