If I shoot through the screen on my ground blind with mechanical broadheads will they open going through the screen?

With a bow I would not shoot through the screen with any type broadhead. I'd be worried about a deflection. Even if it was slight it could be the difference in getting a clean kill or not

    JRock,
have you set up your blind yet? If not, maybe you can assemble it and try a few shots through the screen at a target. I think mechanicals are definitely a no go if you are using a screen.

One of my biggest complaints with the screens is that they are often attached with velcro. I would love to have screens that you can remove quietly when you get into the blind.

I live on a military base and the range here is no broadheads allowed. I'll just cut 3 out of the 4 corners of each screen and make a quick release to drop the screen to take the shot. Thank guys.

Mechanicals are two risky. Some people pull it off but I would not attempt it personally.

Shooting through a screen is a fixed blade procedure.

I wouldn't try it. I just set up my first blind this year and I pulled the mesh out.

YES!! They will open and your arrow flight will be thrown off. I wouldn't do it. Lower the mesh, wear black in the blind to conceal you and your movement and Good Hunting!
