My wife and I just had our second child a few months ago. Needless to say I will be hunting smarter not harder this year.
Looks good. I could potentially be hunting as if September 18th in either Wisconsin or Indiana. My season here in Illinois opens October 1st
Mike I liked the segment with your daughter where you showed her how to safely climb. My 5 yr old wants to go out with me this year, I will have to get a ground blind ready.
pretty sure if you click the picture it will take you to the photo bucket link.. May have to resize it if you are going to use it in your sig.
Congrats bushnlo. So jealous that you are hunting already! Sorry I haven't been around much with work and last minute season prep. I have quite the hitlist this year, tons of deer in the 140-160 range. A couple that I might just try to get on early. We don't open until October first and right out the gate I'll be looking for a big old doe. Congrats again bushnlo, way to start it off right.
Hey guys. Here is a picture of the buck I will be chasing this year. I only have one set of pictures of him this year. I cant tell if it is one of the guys I was after last year. This was him last year (if I'm not mistaken)
Anyone have some trail cam pics to share? I will be heading to my hunting grounds this weekend to pull cards so hopefully I will have something to share early next week.
Unfortunately the next pictures i will have to share will either be a downed deer October 1st or the the card pull by that stand =). I always give my stands about 30 days before season.. Is this necessary? i doubt it, but why not.. I haven't checked the cameras up to my fathers land for 2 months just due to house construction this year and it being 4 hours away.
This is a buck in Indiana that I might get a shot at if I can go there this Sunday. Not a giant but a good buck. I'm guessing from the pic we have gotten he is about 4. My property in Illinois doesn't hold bucks but it holds the doe so you know the bucks will be in there sniffing around soon.
Coolest pictures I got on a 3 week soak. Got a pic of a pregnant doe as well. At least they are moving during day light. I will be in a tree tomorrow night!!!!!
