I bet everyone of us knows one of these characters! I remember picking up a buddy years ago to go Dove hunting and when we get there he puts on a orange deer hunting vest! Needless to say I heard several curse words coming from the tree lines. I kinda put some space between him and myself!

Me too. I had a bow hunting buddy that would come out of the stand an hour after daybreak and start scouting!

I have a good friend from high school that I hunted with in my 20's and we would go goose hunting on a spot that I scouted and set decoys and had all set up, he would show up with no shells, we went turkey hunting one time traveled out of town to do it we were 50 miles into the trip when he revealed he had no money with him. I have another "friend" who borrowed a 12 gauge over and under 20 years ago, still has not returned it. So much easier to have your own spot to hunt alone.

The only stereotype they left out was the "friend" you take to your secret spot and find him there later with other people. and he never even bothered asking you.
    FYI,
I'm the farting guy for sure. :nana:

I'm almost 60 and have weeded out the dofusses (sp?) and d**che bags from my hunting companions years ago. Now I just get the giggles from watching other hunters' stupid antics. Unless they adversely affect my hunting. Then I let them know.

I pretty well bow hunt alone. I do gun hunt with a big group of guys and they're all about as serious as you get, but one of them has the habit of driving out during prime time in the evening. It drives me nuts. Sit there until it's dark end of story...
