I just saw that major league bowhunter made the switch to mathews bows. Never thought they would switch from bear bows. I wonder now since one of their main sponsors is ****s sporting goods if they will still be sponsored now too since ****s main bow company's are bear and PSE

I so sick of these shows driving sponsors down our throats. I know it's what funds these shows but it's getting out of hand. Every scene is a product from a sponsor and they all "thank their products" and say they couldn't get of gotten it dome without __________.

Then they all say "I use this because it's the best _________ out there.

Yeah sure. You use it because they pay you or give it to you for free.

This is not just in regard to Matthews. This is in regard to every product and show and company on the market.

The worst is product placement. Like when these shows on the Outdoor Channel kill a deer and the next scene they are posing next to the deer with a Yeti cooler and their bow laying on the deer. lol. Come on.

PS: just using as an example ... Not knocking Yeti too much but... I know Yeti coolers are phenomenal but last year I harvested a deer and could not process it for 3 days due to work schedule. I quartered up that deer, put the pieces in garbage bags. Stuffed them into my 10 year old $30 Coleman coolers put ice over it and then put a $10 tarp around the coolers to create "dead air" I left those coolers in my 50 degree garage for 3 days. 3 days later the ice was still ice, the meat was cold and actually partially frozen in spots.

Worked just a good as a $300 cooler.

I have felt that the TV hunting shows have insulted the intelligence of viewers for quite some time, with the product placement all the way to the video of the reverse angle recovery, it is so fake.

I do not buy into the "fan boy" stuff or the "So and so" shoots it, so it must be good mentality.

I'm shooting a close to 10 year old bow, it works great, sure it shows a little wear, but still knocks 'em down ;)

Its a show with Matt Duff, Chipper Jones, and Jeff Danker, who I think is gone now. It really is a good bowhunting show, I enjoy it. Try to get it somehow and check it out.

I used to watch MLBH but it wore on me and haven't watched in over 2 seasons... Along with Heartland Bowhunter and Hallowed Ground... They to haven't been something I've watched lately either.. As others have stated just to much sales ads and pushing sponsors down our throats imho.... Honestly only show I really enjoy now is BHOD.... Great footage and honestly no pushing agendas or sales down throats...

I enjoy the show, and I have even seen some shows where they fail and talk about their streaks of failures

    I enjoy it!

To add to your comment..I also believe BHOD has been so successful is these guys are just normal guys taking a camera to the stand and recording hunts without all this video editing slow motion time lapse stuff just straight hunting. Most of the other shows on TV take that to far and forgot about the basics that's my opinion! Keep what your doing BHOD team cause it's working!

It really is a very good show, but quite frankly, I couldn't care less what brand bow any of those guys shoot. Seriously. My Hoyt Vectrix is 9 years old. It shoots great, hasn't given me any issues, and I have no plans of replacing it any time soon.

MLBH is one of the few shows I actually still enjoy. I like to think most people that have "common sense". Don't buy/use a product simply because a hunter on a show uses it? But then again I'm sure some do?

Hey man if they were paying me to hunt and talk about their product i would too. It'd been going on for decades on tv between racing, hunting, golf ect. I'm not hating on them though

That show is one of the better more realistic shows out there as well as DDH and Midwest Whitetail. Most of them just pay an outfitter and go shoot a giant

If I paid for the air time I would want my products displayed as much as possible.

Midwest Whitetail Chasing November is a darn good series. Enjoyable.

As for most of the others...no thanks. The fake joking around cool guy stuff on a lot of them is comical
