Ill post up some pictures soon of my bow, the area I hunt and other miscellaneous stuff! I know everyone enjoys pictures!

I just got my bow back from the shop, all fixed up from a cracked limb, new rest, broad head tuned and ready to go! Going to be practicing hard until I go up to Georgia in late September! Can't wait to be in the woods!

    I'll second that.

Found out that they are starting to log the property I hunt. This will be a tough year looks like. I guess I will have to change things up this year.

Area Where I shot my 9pt last year, Spot is a huge funnel in a 100yard wide bottom, surrounded by heavy timber, and young timber. This spot consistently holds deer and bucks are taken out of it every year.

    hunt.jpg
This is an overview of the lease I hunt, property border is a bottom that connects all the way around, bottom gets to be about 150yards wide at some points. The white area is where the lumber company clear cut the pine trees, those trees are about 6 years old now and 15ft high but still thick enough to supply great bedding areas for the deer, out side the bottoms is the neighbors property who have food plots and practice quality deer management. We hunt the bottoms and catch the deer going from the bedding areas(middle areas of out property) to the neighbors property.

Hopefully this guy grew a bit more this year. He broke off his g-4 on the left side. This was taken just after the rut. I wish I could find the picture on my computer.

Hear is him from the backside last year.

Here is a video of another survivor we had from last year. Have a little patience though, he makes his appearance at about the twenty second mark haha.

Yeah I know, I just hope he walks within bow range this year. He was shifty last year and stayed just out of range no matter where I sat.

I don't have an early season spot per say, but i do have a darn good spot for the rut. Apparently haven't ever taken a picture of it though. I don't even think about sitting in that stand until the last week of October.

That same stand has been good to me over the last 4 years

I need to vent a bit! I just spent a ton of money on a completely new filming setup, Canon vixia hfr g10, shotgun mic, sd cards, lanc controller, muddy outfitter arm, new fluid head, spare 5 hour batteries. I mean the works. PUMPED!!!! cannot wait to start filming again!!

OK. You guys have been holding down the fort! It also looks like we finally have a complete TEAM! We are all locked and loaded.

I have been having a busy work week, along with family soccer and baseball practice. I have a 5 and 9 year old. Sports all over the place. Not to mention bass fishing. Anywho, life is good.

I love seeing these buck!!! Let's not forget...when you get a deer down (buck or doe), you need two pics from two different angles with your weapon to count!

The last hour, I was out shooting the bow. With the tuning I did the last couple weeks, I am feeling more confident than ever. Practicing out to 50 yards and consistent from 30 plus. 40 yard is getting closer and closer to feeling like a kill, under ideal conditions. Next time on the range, I'm going to shoot one of the new slick tricks I purchased. In addition, I will shoot my rage practice points. I plan on packing 3 rage and 2 slick tricks on each hunt. Last year, I packed 3 rage and 2 montecs. I did shoot my Montecs the last time out and it is hitting the same as my field points. Saving them for back-up or ground hogs.

Landowner called me yesterday for me to come take my camera out because she thought it might get damaged from the loggers working. 200+ pics and all I had was one doe and her fawn come through. It's a narrow pinch between an upper and lower corn field. Loggers are working pretty fast looks like but no idea when they will be done.

Got a challenge ahead of me this year. Kind of bummed but will still hunt hard.

Is it possible that deer are passing to the right or left of the camera? Regardless, season is long and there is plenty of time to find them on foot. Stay positive!

This is great. Best of luck to you! Is it a gun or bow hunt? Living in PA, no where close to mulies. Seen a bunch on TV though so, that makes me half an expert.

All of the bucks seem to be staying nocturnal for now but look forward to seeing some move to daylight hours soon. Only a few more days until 12 SEP 2016. Until then, here are a couple of pics from my latest captures.
