I agree, ugly rack or not I'd be shooting that bad boy!! Granted I wouldn't go on a hunt like that, nor could I afford it.

I was reading reviews on the outfitter and it got mostly bad reviews. People were saying its as easy as shooting fish in a barrel and there's just monster bucks running from fence line to fence line. In my opinion that is not hunting. But like you said if you have the money for it and enjoy doing it then great for you, go enjoy yourself, I'll be in my stand hoping I even see a deer at all that day :)

Interesting reviews. I watched a video on YouTube where a guy was hunting a ranch like that in Alabama. There were non-typical bucks all over the place. He passed up about 3 or 4 bucks I'd have shot if they were fair chase bucks. And then the one he did shoot walked in front of the blind at 20 yards, passed by cause they were jacking around in the blind and then came back to within 30 yards when he did shoot him. Afterwards it was like, "That's how we get it done down here" and blah blah. There just isn't the same level of sport and challenge for me.

322 inch buck. Here's the video.... 322 Inch Whitetail Buck with a Crossbow in Alabama! - YouTube

Just watched the video.. I agree it isn't the same level of sport. He was hardly even excited about it and he just shot an absolute beast. I get more excited than he did when I shoot a doe fair chase. But again, to each his own good for him

I wonder if fore a few more thousand dollars the guide could just shoot it for you? That would really boost my sense of accomplishment.

Not to mention it looks like at 20 yards with a cross bow he still hit it in the shoulder

I don't support fence hunts. Its like killing a cow in the pasture. Fence hunting is not hunting.

It was the owner that shot him. :lmao2: That makes it even more pathetic IMO.
