Hey guys, I'm kind of interested in maybe starting to film my own hunts this year, but I don't have very much money to buy a super expensive camera, I was wondering what a good camera would be for under 200$ if there even is one? I just got some new land this year and it has a lot of big bucks on it and I just wanna be able to relive the moments!
Check the classifieds on the forums, a lot of times people are selling used camera gear for a decent price. Or check Amazon for cameras. The Canon Vixia's are fairly cheap or get a refurbished camera like this: SONY Handycam Digital HD HDR-CX240 Video Camcorder - DSB Electronics and you can get a basic Muddy camera arm for around $30-$35.
Try seller refurbished HD camcorders on EBay. If you decide you like filming you can always upgrade later. Sony HDR CX240 L Camcorder 2 7 inch Full HD Blue Box Warranty Fantastic 0027242876873 | eBay
I started with a Sony Handicam, their cheapest at the time, the CX220. I think you can pick one up nowadays for around $169. Many of my earlier videos on my YouTube channel were shot with it Sent from my SM-S902L using Tapatalk

I'm using an inexpensive Sony Handicam. It was in the $200 - $300 price range when I bought it about 5 years ago. The video quality is good and it's small and light weight. I would recommend a good camera arm as well. I'm still using a basic Samsonite try-pod and I'm noticing it's not very smooth and fluid. You don't need a $4K camera to film hunts well IMO, or even a $1K camera. I got my first video footage of a little buck this year and it was great.
