Just looked at Dave Murray's extended fall forcast. I know it's all an educated guess but what the hay!! doesn't it get cold anymore in the fall?? Above avg Temps for Oct and Nov. Dave is a meteorologist in St. Louis and he does a pretty decent job on his forecasts. I hope you are wrong Dave!

That's good for me here, I have some late double crop beans and 55 acres that got sprayed with the wrong stuff that burnt them back and delayed them three weeks so they are basically timed like double crops now. I also have some late milo and a bunch of late food plots. Would also be great if my bees have an extra 15-20 days to make honey.

There will always be a few cold fronts to hunt. They usually don't fall on the weekend though.

There will still be crisp cool mornings and shortening days. I'd prefer to have a harvest with fair weather.

Hey Bee Master, I'm having a TERRIBLE time getting the bees to cooperate with me. They will go up in the honey super but won't build foundation..................I would've sent you a pm but thought someone else might be having or have had the same trouble. I'm looking for any suggestion. I've tried removing the queen excluder and spraying the frames with sugar water. No luck. Any ideas?

This guys sounds like every other meteorologist I've listened to. It might rain, it might not. It might be hot, it might not. In the end there is a 50/50 chance of rain and it will snow this winter.

Sometimes they just don't feel like there's enough of a nectar flow to build the extra comb. Try feeding them with syrup again. You can also try reversing your boxes and putting the super on the bottom. Bees naturally want to build down, some bees tend to try to tell us to screw off when we tell them to build up instead.

No kidding. I think they are getting even with me for killing the clover in the yard they were using. Well then, they shouldn't have stung me while I was mowing. Karma is a B****!! I've thought about putting the super btw the top and bottom box to see what happens. There are a bunch of larva coming on so I'm sure they'll need somewhere to go when they all come out.

The only people I trust less than politicians is a weather man.

The thing that makes me distrust them is that an experienced weather person who has been doing it for years and has learned they are wrong often can come out and do a forecast with such conviction like they believe their own lies.
