Hey guys I recently just got this new piece of land, it's 125acres woods and about 175 acres of corn/beans. Along the backside of the trees there is a river bed(more of just a creek) that runs along it, I was wondering if you had any good insight on maybe a good looking place to sit just by looking at the topo map? Thanks![IMG]

Your link is broke for the map.. More than likely the deer bed in the timber and go out to feed in the fields. Find a point of travel and set a stand up. If you are allowed to modify anything cut some timber to make them go in the path that you wish. This also ads security to the deer if done correctly. Even a 50 dollar trail came is worth its wait in gold on a new property to see what you got.

There are two field fingers that jut back into the brush, the lower, longer one is where I'd look to set up a stand.

If you got hills. I'd recommend patterning then on the side of the hills or hunt on the top fields. I've seen more mature bucks move more on top than bottom
